    @ J Es — This free 2014 pdf entitled “Think Outside the Boss: How to Create a Worker-Owned Business” might be a good place to start. While it’s no substitute for legal advice specific to your situation, its 150+ pages are loaded with helpful information. It was produced jointly by the East Bay Community Law Center, the Green-Collar Communities Clinic, and the Sustainable Communities Law Center.

    Okay, I’m interested in starting a co-op in my local area and need to find out how to create one. I thought this site was the place, but I can’t find the legal people to try to start up or influence businesses to help with a co-op.

    Any help?
