Global Capitalism: July 2016 Monthly Economic Update

“The Great Emerging Conflict: Capitalism vs Worker Coops”

Co-sponsored by Democracy at Work, Left Forum, and Judson Memorial Church

These programs begin with 30 minutes of short updates on important economic events of the last month. Then Prof. Wolff analyzes several major economic issues. For July 2016, these will include:

  1. Signs of capitalism's exhaustion

  2. Signs of where economic change is headed

  3. Why and how economists are fighting over this change

Our goal: to develop all participants’ understanding and ability to explain current economic events and trends to others. When time permits, we open the floor to questions and comments.

If you primarily access the videos of the monthly updates posted here on YouTube, we ask you to join our attendees who contribute at least $10 at each event to help defray costs of producing, video-taping, and distributing these videos. Contributions to Democracy at Work are tax deductible (we gladly provide receipts at the event or can mail one of requested). For those able to contribute more than $10, our special thanks.

Does anyone know where I can find the America’s Research Group report that R. Wolff talks about?

Einstein’s definition of insanity, “Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” Is a shitty definition of insanity. I wish people would stop using it. Every sunset I go out to walk my dog and view God’s newest artwork. It’s always different. I do the same thing everyday expecting/knowing a different result will occur. Guess I’m insane.
