Kicking off 10 years of Economic Update with Noam Chomsky

Economic Update has come a long way since it first aired in March 2011 on a single Pacifica station and we are thrilled to welcome the first guest of our 10th year in our upcoming episode, with none other than Noam Chomsky...

“Welcome friends to another edition of Economic Update, a weekly program devoted to the economic dimensions of our lives, our jobs, our incomes, our debts; our own and those of our children…”

We all know the introduction, because Prof. Richard D. Wolff has been providing his economic updates, theory, and analyses every week for just shy of 10 years.

Economic Update has come a long way since it first aired in March 2011 on a single Pacifica station. Today, it is played on 120+ radio stations nationwide, FreeSpeech TV, MeansTV, several local access cable stations, and is available for video streaming online on our YouTube channel

Much of that growth is directly attributable to you, the Economic Update audience. Thank you for recommending this show to your friends and peers. Thank you for asking your local stations to carry Economic Update (learn how to ask your local stations to carry EU).

We are thrilled to welcome the first guest of our 10th year in our upcoming episode, with none other than Noam Chomsky, American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist, historian, social critic, and political activist. He will discuss, with Prof Wolff, the political and economic realities and possibilities facing us in 2021. This episode will hit the airwaves this Thursday, January 14th, and will be public on our YouTube channel on Monday, January 18th.

Richard Wolff and all of us at Democracy at Work look forward to bringing you more critical analysis and updates in 2021, helping to make sense of the extraordinary events going on around us and preparing us for a better, more democratic future.
