4:30pm - 5:45pm - Guest speaker: Somerset Waters.
Somerset Waters ("Somer") wears multiple hats at Pacific Electric Coop, including client relations, project manager, and lead electrician. He has over two decades of experience as an electrician, one decade in the solar industry, and enjoys manipulating energy. He is a licensed C-10, California Certified Electrician. The trade, physics, & the finance aspect run in his blood: his maternal grandfather was an electrician at a factory in Poland. His father was in international finance and later a physics teacher. Prior to cofounding Pacific Electric Coop, Somer was a Journeyman Electrician out of IBEW Local 11 and worked for several large solar companies. Somer is a member at The Los Angeles Ecovillage, an intentional community in downtown Los Angeles. He spends time contemplating how creating masterpieces under capitalism creates conundrums, and plays the cello in local bands. Watching his daughter grow up makes his heart sing.
