This is an independent event hosted by a d@w-Group. Please direct all questions to the contact listed below.
Greetings friends and comrades-
Kayla here! This month I'm very excited to share with you what I've learned from attending Building a Worker Cooperative Ecosystem, hosted by the LA Coop Lab. In it, Ellie and I met with several local cooperative business worker-owners, cooperative developers, and more to get a complete picture of the cooperative ecosystem here in LA; we learned how many cooperatives there are, where they're located, who they serve, etc. More importantly, we learned what local cooperatives need and want in order to grow and transform our local economy into a more just system that
The one thing we heard over and over again is that cooperatives right here in LA need more of a presence. Because they are small and much less visible than Target, Whole Foods, etc., nobody knows that they're here! We need to change that!
Can you help? Or do you want to help, but aren't sure how? Please join us on Saturday, March 31st and help us make a cooperative-led economy a reality! As always, snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please see the attached parking map, as we are not allowed to use the church's parking lot.
I can't wait to see you there! Please let me know if you can make it! :)
