d@w-Los Angeles: Monthly Meeting
This is an independent event hosted by a d@w-Group. Please direct all questions to the contact listed below.
Greetings friends! We hope you’ll join us for our August monthly meeting in which we’ll welcome Linda Wei from the Solidarity Research Center and the LA Worm Farm. Linda Wei will speak about the Solidarity LA project, an initiative whose goals are to a) to make visible the diverse economy in the LA region, b) to reframe informal activities and culturally-rooted practices as Solidarity Economy, and c) to identify opportunities to grow cooperative ecosystems and regional solidarity. We think you’ll be particularly interested in their mapping project, which aims to create an interactive online map of LA’s many cooperatives to help educate the public at large about the growing cooperative movement in their own backyard.
