"Shift Change" is an award winning film that gives us an inside look into Mondragon Cooperative Corporation, the largest worker owned and operated democratically run cooperative in the world. With over 75,000 worker owners as of 2017 it is a network of hundreds of companies in the Basque region of southern Spain that started in the 1950's. Other cooperative businesses in the United States that are also featured include the Arizmendi Bakeries in the Bay Area. This film is rarely seen in public and following the screening we will be discussing the film with worker/owners of a brand new cooperative.
Parking is behind the library and also in the structure behind that parking lot. Both can entered through Garfield St. between Walnut and Corson. It is close to the Metro Memorial Park Goldline light rail station on Union and Raymond.
