Patreon Change FAQ

What is changing?
Democracy at Work currently manages 5 Patreon pages, each for a different show. We will be moving to 1 Patreon page whose donations support the organization as a whole.
The Economic Update page will be renamed "Democracy at Work."
We will be asking Patrons of Global Capitalism, Anti-Capitalist Chronicles, Capitalism Hits Home, and All Things Co-op to move to the Democracy at Work page.
When will this be happening?
Our goal is to change the Economic Update page into the Democracy at Work page by September 15. The page URL, description and tiers will be updated at that time.
We will stop updating the Global Capitalism, Anti-Capitalist Chronicles, Capitalism Hits Home, and All Things Co-op pages with new content by September 30.
Why is it changing?
We think this is important because (a) we believe this better fits with our ideals, (b) it frees up staff time that could be better spent on bringing you more and better content, (c) it improves our ability to grow our supportive audience, (d) it will help unify our community, create a larger group of people who can communicate, share their ideas, support and engage with one another.
What do I need to do?
- If you're a Patron of Economic Update you’ll need to
  - 1) change your donation tier if you want to (Here is how: Editing your Patreon Membership),
  - 2) know that the page URL will change, so get ready to update your bookmarks,
  - 3) enjoy a wider variety of anti-capitalist and pro-workplace democracy content!
- If you're a Patron of Global Capitalism, Anti-Capitalist Chronicles, Capitalism Hits Home, or All Things Co-op, you'll need to
  - 1) cancel your existing pledge(s) (Here is how: How to cancel a Patreon pledge),
  - 2) sign up on the Democracy at Work Patreon page (Here is how: Become a Patron of a creator)
  - 3) send us a direct message when you do so that we can take a look and reimburse any potential double-billing.
How will my experience change?
The new Democracy at Work page will now share news and updates about all of our shows and work. With our posts, we will aim to give visibility to all of our content, while not overwhelming you with posts. We will be asking for feedback via polls along the way to make sure we’re meeting people’s needs as much as possible.
Will this affect access to my favorite shows?
All of our shows will still be released free of ads via both an audio and video, and made available to you on our website and YouTube channel. For now, we plan on posting notifications that help guide you to new episodes on those platforms with just one-click. However, depending on feedback from all of you, we’re ready to update that.
Will you be changing Patreon tiers and perks too? Yes, we will be adjusting the Patreon tiers and perks as well. It’s up to you to change your donation level, and this change will not adjust your donation on your behalf. We will be announcing the new levels soon, so stay tuned!
