A Patron of Economic Update asks: "There's obviously a great deal of buzz/in-fighting among the greater independent left about the virtue of building a "Working People's" Party outside the Democratic apparatus, to better satisfy the wide range of political thought encompassed by the political axis most of us millennials are well familiar with, yet boomers seem to be pigeonholed into a false dichotomy and hung up upon. You've discussed this briefly in the past, but going into the new year, perhaps we can get a "Statis Update" (no pun intended) on the progress we've seen with either the Movement for a People's Party vs the larger question of how this restrictive 2-party system oppresses independent thought, Ranked Choice Voting ordinances (and how these local campaigns can kickstart 3rd party efforts), and how this can effect the national campaign to OPEN the electoral system we see today."
