Ask Prof Wolff: China VS. a Myth of Stolen Technology

A patron of Economic Update asks: "I recently watched a great news segment about China's acquisition of western tech by China. You have spoken on this point in the past, could you reiterate that the tech acquired by China was not stolen, but as Saagar stated "China's ability to weaponize western greed."

This is Professor Richard Wolff's video response.

China`s Economic Export Model has always to Copy Local Products and sell their Version much Cheaper. I bought a Navajo Belt from A Trading Post in the Navajo Nations; only to discover that it was Made In China. The Navajo versions were mounted in Silver and more Expensive. Brazilian Bikinis have been copied by the Chinese.
DVDs are Copied in China of the Latest Hollywood Blockbuster and are Better than the Original for Sound and Picture Quality.
