Prof. Ian Seda-Irizarry is an Assistant Professor of Economics at John Jay College, City University of New York. There he teaches Introduction to Economics and Global Capitalism, Political Economy, Economic Development of the Caribbean, and Economics in Historical Perspectives. He got his PhD in economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. His current work focuses on understanding the economic crisis of Puerto Rico. His popular and academic writings have appeared in outlets within and outside the United States.
